Structural Fire Response and Probable Collapse Sequence of the World Trade Center Towers

CAE Associates was a major subcontractor for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) investigation  team  that  analyzed the collapse of the World Trade Center (WTC) towers.  CAE Associates' engineers provided finite element modeling, software, training and nonlinear analysis expertise to lead the development of the detailed computational models used to evaluate both local and global collapse mechanisms.

CAE Associates worked in conjunction with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. of Waltham, MA to develop a summary of their findings for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) investigation of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.
