Parametric Modeling Part II: The Finite Element Model - ANSYS e-Learning

In Part I of the Parametric Modeling eLearning miniseries we discussed different options for setting up parametrically driven geometry changes using feature based and direct modeling tools. 

Part II of this series focuses on the parametric development of the finite element model using the ANSYS Mechanical tool.  This involves assigning parameters to input quantities like material coefficients, contact settings, mesh settings and boundary conditions.  Output parameters of the finite element results are defined.  Methods for evaluating the robustness of the finite element model in terms of solution convergence and design point generation are also discussed.
