Customization & Scripting With the ANSYS Workbench Environment

The need to customize the Workbench interface is growing among customers as the demand for the use of this GUI increases. A large amount of customer interest has been focused around customizing the Workbench Mechanical interface. While many customization options are available, a focus on interacting with existing Mechanical features through command blocks and scripting is shown. In addition, an ANSYS 14.5 customization will provide a means to create new Mechanical features through the Application Customization Toolkit (ACT). This presentation provides examples of various types of customization that are possible within the Workbench Mechanical GUI.

This presentation was given by Eric Stamper, Project Manager at CAE Associates, as part of the ANSYS User Group Meeting on September 27, 2012.
