Basic Customization with ACT - ANSYS e-Learning
ACT (Application Customization Toolkit) is a new capability that allows for customization of the ANSYS Workbench Mechanical interface. This means that users can now add their own icons into the toolbar that, for example, add a new load into Workbench Mechanical. These customizations can include things like:
- Specialized loads
- Specialized elements and options
- Specialized post-processing
- Access to FE model information, and more
ACT provides the internal mechanisms that allow you to customize an ANSYS Workbench application without compiling external code or linking with existing ANSYS libraries. ACT can relieve some of the pain and difficulties in specific modeling areas by; eliminating the need for command blocks; automating certain tasks and allowing a user to easily incorporate certain previously developed APDL macros into the Workbench Mechanical GUI.
This e-Learning session will help to provide a better understanding of what ACT is and demonstrate to users how this new functionality can be used.
