Advanced Meshing Methods in Workbench - ANSYS e-Learning

Generating a quality mesh is an important part of the analysis process, but it can often take time. You can significantly reduce the time it takes to create a good mesh in ANSYS.  Workbench has many more meshing capabilities than MAPDL, and can help remove many of the hurdles commonly encountered and allows you to generate a great mesh, and do so in much less time.
 
Some of the great features available only in Workbench include: automatic topology simplifications, defeaturing with the mesh rather than the geometry, automatic geometry decomposition for brick meshing and controls for refinement within volumes.
