Introduction to CivilFEM

Prerequisites

B.S. in engineering or engineering experience. Introduction to ANSYS (Traditional GUI) and knowledge of finite element theory recommended. Basic functional familiarity with computers.

Description

This course trains students on the use of the ANSYS & CivilFEM Graphical User Interface. Students will learn how to perform linear and nonlinear analysis using CivilFEM. The class includes material library input, auto cross-section modeling, code checking and load case combinations. Advanced features include creep and shrinkage, construction simulation and pre-stress / post-tension modeling. Approximately 50% of the course consists of hands-on exercises. This course can also be customized for on-site training.

General Information

Seminars begin promptly at 9 a.m. and finish at approximately 5 p.m. each day. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m. The seminar fee includes: course manuals, full color workshop manuals, & instruction.
