Advanced Meshing in ANSYS Mechanical (Workbench)

Prerequisites

Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical (Workbench)

Description

Advanced Meshing in ANSYS Mechanical is a two-day class for experienced ANSYS users whose meshing requirements go beyond the basic capabilities covered in the Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical (Workbench) class. The class will provide detailed coverage of the meshing techniques and controls for solid, shell and line bodies. In addition, the course will cover the mesh quality assessment tools available in ANSYS/Mechanical and how to use them to the best advantage to ensure a quality mesh which produces accurate results. A “Best Practices” approach to meshing will be emphasized throughout the lectures and the example problems.

The course is workshop-centric and students are encouraged to bring their own geometry files on the second day for discussion purposes.
